The Key Clinic Exercise Programme
NeuroMature
A movement method that improves learning and behavioural problems by maturing the nervous system.
The retention of primitive reflexes can make many everyday tasks, such as reading and writing, extremely challenging and can also increase anxiety. For adults and children who still have these ‘immaturities’ in the system, nothing comes easily or naturally, and they have to work extremely hard to try to compensate for these difficulties.
The NeuroMature programmw takes you through highly effective Neurodevelopmental Exercises to inhibit retained primitive reflexes, helping improve eye tracking, balance, coordination, self-confidence, and emotional resilience.
The Neurodevelopmental Assessment can either be carried out at one of our clinics or remotely.
What conditions can it help with?
Academic performance
Emotional regulation
Eye-tracking
Confidence
Sporting ability
Balance and coordination
Sensory integration
Relationships
How does it work?
We are born with a set of primitive reflexes, which help the nervous system to develop. By the time a child reaches their first birthday, these reflexes should have all been integrated. However, sometimes they get ‘stuck’ in place, never completing their work, locking the nervous system in an immature state.
This immaturity makes school life very difficult, interfering with reading, writing, balance, coordination, sports and fine motor skills. The result is low confidence, frustration and a failure to match performance to ability. It can also cause behavioural problems such as anxiety, mood swings and frustration.
NeuroMature uses simple, precise exercises to integrate the primitive reflexes, overcoming blockages, creating new neural pathways in the brain by maturing the nervous system. In effect, giving the nervous system a ‘second chance’ to develop.
Once the internal stresses on the system are alleviated, the person becomes much more resilient to handle all that life throws at them. Best of all, Results are permanent and the benefits are cumulative, as the individual grows and fulfils his or her potential.
NeuroMature programme choices
We want to find the easiest solution for your family, so we have several different options to suit your requirements. Some of the considerations may include:
Geography:
You can carry out a NeuroMature programme either by visiting one of our clinics or, remotely, if that is more convenient. We can even come to your home or stay with you overseas, should you require our ‘Concierge’ service.
Timescale and Degree of Personal Involvement:
Our 6-month 'Classic' programme requires a parent to supervise neurodevelopmental exercises with their child at home every day for about 20 minutes. Regular reviews with your practitioner support and move you through the programme.
Our intensive ‘Fast-Track’ option suits those requiring quicker results and those who would like an experienced practitioner to work directly with their child for the exercises (in clinic or concierge at home).
Following the Neurodevelopmental assessment, your practitioner will help you decide on the best programme to suit your needs.
NeuroMature Classic:
This programme includes:
Daily Neurodevelopmental Exercises: 20 minutes of daily neurodevelopmental exercises, performed at home.
Video Guidance: Video guidance is uploaded to your private portal, detailing weekly exercises and recommended repetitions.
Personalised Coaching Sessions: Six 45-minute coaching sessions with one of our experienced practitioners. These sessions, available in-clinic, at home (concierge) or via video call. They are designed to help you perfect the exercise technique, make necessary adjustments, and assess when to progress to the next level.
Exercise Progressions: As your child progresses, new or additional exercises will be provided to support ongoing development.
End-of-Programme Neurodevelopmental Assessment: A comprehensive assessment to review your child’s progress.
Final Report: A detailed written report summarising achievements and recommendations.
NeuroMature Fast-Track:
For those seeking additional support, we offer a fully supervised, intensive programme designed to achieve results more quickly (typically within 3-4 months). The programme includes:
Pre-Programme Preparation: This is a 2-3-week preparatory phase with 15 minutes of exercises to be done twice daily at home. (Concierge service is available for those who prefer us to carry out this initial stage).
Intensive Sessions: 20 daily, 30-minute exercise sessions with one of our experienced practitioners, conducted either in-clinic or remotely over 2-4 weeks (the timeframe can be adjusted to suit your schedule).
Independent Practice: Following the intensive period, you’ll continue daily exercises at home, along with two 45-minute follow-up reviews, scheduled four weeks apart. (*Again, a concierge option is available)
The programme concludes with a comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment and a final report.
NeuroMature Testimonial
"My 12 year old child is unrecognisable. It's as if everything in her life just became easier for her! She is more coordinated and, therefore, excelling in sports; her confidence has increased, and her anxiety has decreased. She used to struggle with glare from lights and car sickness, which has all stopped.
Her reading and writing has had a small jump but as she was starting from a place where this was impossible for her to do at all, it means I'm thrilled with the jump!
Suddenly she is more able to be independent as she can work out slowly what things say. Jessie has been utterly fantastic and there for us whenever we needed her. She is so knowledgeable and keen to help. Thank you for everything you have done for us."
